Jacqueline Nikpour, PhD, RN is an Assistant Professor at Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. Nikpour’s research examines the impact of new primary care delivery models on achieving equitable health outcomes for patients. She is especially interested in the organization, delivery, and financing of nursing care in health centers and other community-based settings.

African American Studies
Walter C. Rucker, PhD, is a Professor of African American Studies and History and Director of Graduate Studies for the new doctoral program in African American Studies at Emory University. He recently served as a Co-Chair for the "Visions of Slavery" Mellon Sawyer Seminar. His research specialty is in the early Atlantic African diaspora and African American history. Approaching history from an ethnohistorical perspective, he focuses on the generative nexus between slavery, resistance, and ritual cultures in the Black Atlantic.
