New episode of ‘Your Fantastic Mind’ airs April 25 at 8 p.m.

The next episode of “Your Fantastic Mind” will air April 25 at 8 p.m. and will include segments about stroke rehabilitation, maternal mental health, movement research and more.

Season 3 of “Your Fantastic Mind,” the Emory Brain Health Center’s (BHC) television partnership with Georgia Public Broadcasting, launched in November and will consist of three, one-hour episodes airing from November 2021 to April 2022.

The final episode of the season will air Monday, April 25, at 8 p.m., and will feature news and insights from a variety of brain-related areas. Topics include:

  • Cutting-edge research that shows how stimulation of the vagus nerve can help patients regain arm function up to a decade after a stroke.
  • A closer look at new research examining the brain functions of grandmothers that may play an important role in our social lives and development.
  • Researchers at Emory/Georgia Tech who are studying the science of movement including the neuromechanics of human balance and gait.
  • A critical look at disparities in maternal mortality and a new state of Georgia program, Peace for Moms, aimed at bridging the gap to provide mental health support for pre- and post-partum moms.
  • Best-selling author and recovery expert William Cope Moyers on the role the faith community is playing in educating religious leaders on addiction and mental health.
