Emory responds: Here's how you can help
Sept. 29, 2017
Donate for disaster relief through Oct. 21
Help the victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, as well as the recent earthquake in Mexico, by joining Emory’s donation drive.
The relief drive is hosted by Campus Life's Office of Student Success Services and Programs (OSSPS) and the Office of Spiritual and Religious Life (OSRL).
Emory Puerto Rican Student Association GoFundMe campaign
Emory’s Puerto Rican Student Association has helped raise more than $165,000 to aid in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, joining more than 100 colleges and universities throughout the nation in support of “Students With Puerto Rico,” a GoFundMe campaign to support Unidos por Puerto Rico, a public-private initiative launched by the office of Puerto Rico First Lady Beatriz Isabel Roselló and a group of companies to help victims of the massive storm.
Through a social media campaign, messages posted around campus, and a table at Wonderful Wednesday, the Emory Puerto Rican Student Association has been raising awareness of the crisis and collecting donations to benefit the national GoFundMe campaign, which recently received a $20,000 donation from Jimmy Fallon.
Donate to Emory Department of Surgery for relief aid and patient care
Emory’s Department of Surgery has established a fund where the proceeds will be used directly to provide aid in patient care, clean water, food and fuel for the rebuilding of this once-beautiful place.
