Footwork Fest celebrates soccer, culture and community

Footwork Fest, a part of Emory University’s broader Footwork initiative leading to the 2026 World Cup, provided Emory students, faculty and staff with a high-energy celebration of soccer, culture and community, bringing the spirit of the global game to campus as the city prepares to welcome the world for this summer’s tournament.

Taking over McDonough Field, the festival offered an immersive, all-day experience designed to engage students and guests with interactive activities, vibrant vendors and a lively atmosphere.

Highlights included the Kicks & Fros custom sneaker bar experience, where attendees explored sneaker-inspired goods, customized their own style at the sneaker charm bar, and took advantage of an on-site sneaker cleaning station.

Guests also shopped with a variety of clothing and sneaker vendors, browsed a curated selection of Emory merchandise from the Emory bookstore and enjoyed local bites from the Emory Farmers Market. With music, giveaways and plenty of opportunities to connect, Footwork Fest brought the Emory community together to celebrate the game in a dynamic and memorable way.
