Photos: The Class of 2029 moves in

The full cohort of Emory’s first-year students — the Class of 2029 — has officially arrived on campus, with members settling into their new homes.

Students participating in pre-orientation and International Student Welcome programs arrived on campus beginning Aug. 18 (see photos from their move-in day). Others arrived over the weekend: Oxford College first-year students were welcomed on Friday and the rest of the Emory College of Arts and Sciences students on Saturday.

Despite some rain on Saturday, there was palpable excitement across campus as students and their families unloaded boxes, bags and anything else to help them feel at home at Emory.

Thanks to the efforts of hundreds of staff and student volunteers who helped with each move-in day, our newest Eagles were welcomed and celebrated as soon as they stepped on campus.
