Dooley’s Week 2025 was a hit in Atlanta and Oxford.
In Atlanta, “Camp Dooley” kicked off on Saturday, March 29, with a classic tailgate at Emory’s baseball and softball games — complete with bobbleheads and barbecue.
On Monday, “Dooley’s Rising” attracted students to McDonough Field, which boasted a petting zoo and bubble soccer as this year’s amusement.
During “Rollin’ Retro Nights” on Tuesday, students flocked to the Emory Student Center multipurpose rooms for a night of disco-filled fun, roller-skating across the checkered floors while listening to groovy tunes.
Wednesday featured the annual “Taste of Emory,” highlighting local Atlanta eateries and a variety of cuisines as well as the final drop of Camp Dooley merch for the week.
Meanwhile, at Emory’s Oxford campus, the week’s theme was “Dooley’s Adventure.”
Tuesday's event, “Dooley Walks the Plank,” featured a pirate-themed carnival on Fleming Lawn, complete with themed snacks, inflatable swords, mocktails, a mime and more.
Parrot Productions was the biggest hit at the carnival. Students were invited to hold and interact with 10-15 parrots, learning more about them through the presentations from vendors.
Wednesday’s event, “Jura-SAC park,” immersed students in the jungle, where they enjoyed snacks like animal crackers and dried fruits. Activities included flower bouquet making, rock climbing, ziplining and stuffed dinosaur giveaways.
The week’s grand finale was Friday’s concert on McDonough Field, featuring A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, with students from both campuses attending. Concertgoers were first entertained by a variety of student groups, including Aural Pleasure, E-Motion Dance, Ahana Acapella, Maiya Dickens and DJ Yang.
