Dooley’s Week, the beloved yearly tradition for Emory students, is back this year March 29-April 4, full of events, food, music, merch and more.
The theme, “Camp Dooley,” encourages students to get outdoors and get active. Throughout the week, Emory students will have the chance to win outdoor-themed prizes, including Carhartt backpacks. Dooley’s Week sweatpants and T-shirts will also be distributed at each event.
Dooley’s Week is often one of Emory’s certified sustainable events. With this year’s theme centered around the outdoors, student organizers made receiving that certification even more of a priority, working closely with the Office of Sustainability Initiatives (OSI).
“OSI are the ones who are leading the certification process and will submit a checklist to get each day certified,” explains Maya Degnemark, Student Programming Council (SPC) vice president. Certification ensures that all food and drinks are served in compostable dishware, and that waste is reduced in all other purchases. OSI works with all external vendors to establish this certification.
All events are free and open to Emory undergraduate students. For more details and updates, follow @EmorySPC on Instagram and check out their page on The Hub. Look out for Dooley appearances on campus throughout the week!
