Photos: First-year students compete in the 2024 Oxford Olympics

For students beginning their Emory experience at Oxford College, one time-honored orientation tradition is the Oxford Olympics: an evening of fun and team challenges before classes begin.

The entire first-year class participates in the competition, affectionately known as OxOlympics. Orientation leaders guide each group to the challenge locations. Students from Oxford’s Healthy Eagles program and staff from across campus volunteer to facilitate each of the challenges.

Student Government Association representatives Kenan Bajraktarevic and Chase Wallace served as emcees.

This year’s challenges included the Hippity Hop Relay, Three-Legged Race, BASKETBALL and Hungry Hungry Hippo. First place went to the Red Team, with the Orange Team claiming the Most Spirited Award.
