The Emory College of Arts and Sciences, the university's primary undergraduate division, welcomed about 1,375 first-year students and their families to campus last weekend. The first-year class comes to Emory from every region of the nation and around the world, and is defined by the students' diverse backgrounds and interests, impressive academic achievements and a track record of strong engagement with their home communities. As part of orientation, the Class of 2017 all lined up for a class picture spelling out the number 2-0-1-7. This is a video of the 30-minute event in a 30-second time-lapse video.
