Sold-out 2026 Winship 5K surpasses $1 million fundraising goal

The Winship 5K Run/Walk celebrated its 16th anniversary on Saturday with more than 4,500 in-person and virtual participants raising over $1 million to support cancer research and care at Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute. Read a recap and see photos from the day.

Walk with Emory in the Atlanta Pride Parade

Join Emory University and Emory Healthcare community members at the Atlanta Pride Parade on Sunday, Oct. 11. Start the day with the Mosaic Center and a pre-parade breakfast at Cox Hall, then board shuttles to the parade route. Seats are limited, so register today.

Annual benefits enrollment will soon be here

Emory’s annual benefits enrollment will take place Oct. 19–Nov. 2. During this time, employees can select or change benefits (including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and more) and set aside funds for a 2027 healthcare FSA, dependent care FSA or health savings account (HSA). There are several important changes to the 2027 benefits. Learn more about what’s to come by attending a virtual session on Oct. 16, 21 or 29. Register today on the annual enrollment webpage.

Celebrating 2026 career milestones

Emory University will celebrate nearly 175 employees who are reaching 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years of service in 2026. These employees will be honored at a luncheon on Nov. 19 and will be recognized by President Christopher L. Augostini and other university leaders. Election day in Georgia is Nov. 3

Voters across Georgia will head to the polls for the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Early voting runs from Oct. 13–30. Voters who are registered in DeKalb County have the option to vote early at Emory’s polling location at 1599 Clifton Road.

Connect, move and boost well-being with Emory’s Social & Community Campaign, happening through Oct. 31. Complete four engaging activities and participate in the Move Together Challenge (tracking 630 minutes of exercise throughout October). Complete all five activities for a $100 medical plan well-being incentive or a chance to win a Healthy Emory reward.

A valuable benefit at no cost: Guidehealth

Emory employees and their covered dependents enrolled in the Aetna POS or Aetna HSA health plans can access Guidehealth, a care management program, at no additional cost. Guidehealth’s team of nurses and care coordinators work alongside existing providers to help coordinate the right care, whether it’s recovering from a hospital visit, managing a chronic condition or simply navigating the healthcare system.
