How Winship helped Alia Martinez beat cancer — twice

Fourteen years after her initial diagnosis of germ cell ovarian cancer, 37-year-old mother of two Alia Martinez was diagnosed with breast cancer. After receiving her ovarian cancer care at Winship Cancer Institute, Martinez says, “it was a no-brainer,” to return. Participating in the Winship 5K, happening this weekend, is one way Martinez says she likes to give back.
