Nominations are being sought for three prestigious awards presented each year by the Office of Global Strategy and Initiatives.
The campus community is invited to nominate either faculty and staff members or former students for this year’s awards, which each recognize an aspect of Emory University’s commitment to internationalization and the advancement of global understanding.
Awards include:
- The Marion V. Creekmore Award for Internationalization, which is given to an Emory faculty member who excels in the advancement of the university’s commitment to internationalization. The award was established by the generous gift of Claus M. Halle and honors the work of Marion V. Creekmore, who served as Emory’s first vice provost for international affairs and as director of the Halle Institute.
- The Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Award, established by Madhu and Jagdish Sheth, which recognizes international alumni who have distinguished themselves in service to universities, governments, private sector firms and nongovernmental organizations. The recipient must be highly distinguished in his or her field and have offered outstanding contributions to humanity, science, art or human welfare.
- The International Outreach Award, which recognizes professional staff who have made significant contributions to Emory’s internationalization through the programs, schools and units in which they serve.
Nominations should be submitted no later than Friday, June 12. For more information, visit global.emory.edu/awards.
