Celebrating the life of an African American jockey

April 29, 2014

Isaac Murphy was an African American jockey during the 19th century and is one of the greatest jockeys of all time. Pellom McDaniels, Emory University faculty curator of African American Collections, brings Murphy's story to life in his book "The Prince of Jockeys: The Life of Isaac Burns Murphy."
