December celebrations honor new Emory graduates

For students in several schools across Emory, completing fall semester led to graduation celebrations.

On Dec. 9, Emory College of Arts and Sciences celebrated 161 fall 2025 graduates in the Emory Student Center. The event congratulated the students and their guests, recognizing their hard work and accomplishments, and ending with the traditional Emory Coke Toast. The graduates can participate in the spring 2026 Commencement ceremony if they choose.

The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing recognized 298 graduates during two ceremonies on Dec. 12. The morning ceremony included graduates from the pre-licensure Master of Nursing and Distance Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs. Graduates from the post-licensure Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing programs were recognized during the afternoon ceremony.

This graduation also marked the final ceremony presided over by Linda McCauley, who retired as dean of the School of Nursing at the end of December after a remarkable 16-year tenure.

The Emory School of Medicine celebrated graduates on Dec. 19. The Master of Medical Science Program in Anesthesiology recognized 35 graduates during the program’s 55th ceremony. Later that day, 51 graduates received their Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant Program degrees.
