Emory to mark Ethics Week with community pledge

Emory University’s Office of Ethics and Compliance will celebrate integrity, accountability and the values that strengthen Emory during Ethics Week, Nov. 3-7. This marks the university’s inaugural Ethics Week celebration promoting an ethical culture across Emory.

Activities during the week will include ethics-themed freebies and education related to the Emory Ethics Pledge. As part of that, come see the Office of Ethics and Compliance at Wonderful Wednesday from 12-2 p.m.

Though not required, members of the university community are encouraged to take the pledge during Ethics Week. By signing the pledge, faculty, staff and students commit to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct by:

  • Acting with integrity
  • Exercising responsible stewardship of resources
  • Treating all people with dignity and respect
  • Protecting confidential information
  • Fostering collaboration
  • Complying with policies and laws
  • Taking personal responsibility for actions
Read the complete Emory Ethics Pledge and sign it online. Participants will receive a digital “I took the Emory Ethics Pledge” badge that can be added to their email signature.
