Election season is in full swing! The entire state of Georgia is voting for two seats on the Public Service Commission, which regulates Georgia utilities. Residents of the City of Atlanta are also voting for mayor, City Council, school board and municipal judges.

Check out these FAQs to make your plan to vote:

  • Where and when can I vote early? Now through Friday, Oct. 31, you can vote at any early-voting location in the county where you’re registered. Here are locations and hours for Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton, Gwinnett, Cobb, Fayette and all GA counties.
  • Can I vote early at Emory? If you’re registered to vote in DeKalb County, yes! There’s an early voting station at 1599 Clifton Road, open seven days a week through Oct. 31. Find more info here.
  • What if I want to vote on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 4)? You’ll need to go to your assigned precinct between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Look up your assigned precinct location at My Voter Page under “Polling Information.”
  • Can I see what will be on my ballot before I go? Yes! Log in to My Voter Page and click “View My Sample Ballot.” Also see branch.vote.
  • Can I take time off work to vote? Emory University's Voting Policy allows staff to take up to four hours paid time for the purpose of voting. These four hours can be used for early voting as well as Election Day voting. Staff who plan to take time off to vote are encouraged to make arrangements with their supervisors in advance. See the full policy.
