Traffic alert: Upcoming construction at Woodruff Circle

Construction at Woodruff Circle to repair a stormwater pipe is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 15, and is expected to continue through Friday, Aug. 15. The project will impact vehicle and pedestrian routes in the area.

During this time, the northeast section of Woodruff Circle will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Buses and essential vehicles, including deliveries, will be rerouted via Eagle Row to Means Drive and onto Pierce Drive to access the circle. Temporary standing along Pierce Promenade and Means Circle will be restricted to service and delivery vehicles only.

No parking will be allowed along the detour route; however, alternate parking is available at the Peavine Parking Deck. The WHSCB parking lot will remain open for authorized vehicles.

Most pedestrian pathways will remain accessible, except in the immediate construction zone. Pedestrians approaching from Clifton Road can access the southeast portion of the circle via the designated crosswalk. All temporary sidewalk closures will be clearly marked with on-site signage providing detour information. Detour signs will also be posted for vehicles and pedestrians, and intermittent construction noise is anticipated throughout the duration of the work.

All building entrances will remain open and accessible during the construction period.
