Emory announces Campus Life leadership transitions

Emory University announced several transitions in the Campus Life leadership team Tuesday.

Enku Gelaye, senior vice president and dean of Campus Life; Kristina Bethea Odejimi, associate vice president for belonging, engagement and community and dean of students; James Raper, associate vice president for health, well-being, access and prevention; and Lina Vargas, chief business officer and assistant vice president, will be leaving their roles.

Effective today, the division will have the following interim structure:  

  • Heather Mugg, associate vice provost for undergraduate affairs, will guide and support the Campus Life teams focused on health, well-being, belonging and community, working closely with unit leaders and staff.
  • Erin Herting will support Campus Life’s finance and administrative functions as interim chief business officer.
  • Mekeshua North, director of Campus Life human resources, will report to Kevin Moody, senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Emory University.
  • Keiko Price, who serves as the Clyde Partin Sr. Director of Athletics and associate vice president of Campus Life, continues in her role, and will report directly to Lanny S. Liebeskind, interim provost and executive vice president for academic affairs.

Emory previously announced that management of the Emory Bookstore, EmoryCard and Emory’s Dining and Housing Operations will move to Emory’s Business Operations team.
