Step into spring by joining Healthy Emory Connect’s annual physical activity campaign during April and May. This year’s program focuses on tracking minutes of physical activity instead of counting steps.

Benefits-eligible Emory employees can join as an individual, create a team or join an existing team. Participants can use Healthy Emory Connect (Sharecare) to record progress and earn a $100 medical plan well-being incentive or reward.

Complete these five simple activities by May 31 to earn the incentive:

  1. Read “8 essential body weight exercises to build muscle and stay strong” on the Sharecare website. Even if you aren’t into gyms or weights, your body is all you need to build muscle and strengthen bones. Discover why bodyweight exercises work and learn some simple moves to get strong anywhere.
  2. Read “3 ways yoga can help you manage your weight.” Yoga offers many benefits: it builds strength, improves balance, relaxes the mind and might aid in weight management. Here’s what you need to know.
  3. Watch “Move to improve posture.” Follow these step-by-step guided exercises with certified trainer Andrea Peterson and unlock the secrets to better posture.
  4. Watch “Get moving with these 30-second workouts.” Don’t have time to work out? Use this 30-second workout idea to add more movement to your day.
  5. Complete the Move More Challenge by May 31. Create an account or sign into Healthy Emory Connect. Select Achieve > Challenges, and then look for the Move More Challenge. Select Join and start tracking your challenge activity on May 1.
  6. To increase the fun — and make it easier to keep motivated — Healthy Emory and the university’s Well-being Champion network have partnered to host weekly walking groups in April and May. Find a group to connect with colleagues while boosting well-being.
Participants who are enrolled in an Emory medical plan can earn a $100 well-being incentive by completing the five activities by May 31. Those who complete the challenge but are not enrolled in an Emory medical plan can earn a raffle entry for a chance to win rewards. Learn more about healthy rewards and incentives for 2025.
