ATLANTA - Emory Healthcare, which employs 26,400 team members, has been named one of America’s Best Large Employers in the nation, according to Forbes. The magazine ranked Emory Healthcare No. 124 out of 701 employers in 2025. This is Forbes’ 10th year ranking America’s Best Large Employers.

“I am beyond proud of the work we are doing here at Emory Healthcare, with every team contributing to our mission of improving lives and providing hope to the communities we serve,” says Joon S. Lee, MD, CEO of Emory Healthcare. “It is an honor to be recognized by Forbes, a global media company, highlighting the importance of employees’ voices as we continue to shape the future of health care together.”

The recognition is based on a survey of anonymous respondents who were asked if they would recommend their employers based on a range of criteria, including workplace environment and well-being, salary and growth opportunity. Participants were also asked to rate if they would recommend their previous employers within the past two years, and other employers they were familiar with through their industry experience.

“We are intentional about investing in our employees at Emory Healthcare and committed to supporting our team members through top-notch training opportunities, advancements in technology and providing a culture with a purpose,” says Rock Anderson, chief human resources officer for Emory Healthcare. “We are grateful for this honor and applaud our employees for their dedication and hard work.”

Forbes collaborated with Statista, a market research firm, to survey more than 217,000 employees working at companies throughout the U.S. The responses were tallied and analyzed along with additional survey data from the last three years, which allowed for a robust assessment of organizations that consistently ranked well versus those that may have had just one good year. Companies with 1,000-5,000 employees were deemed midsize employers, while companies with more than 5,000 employees were considered large employers.
