Photos: Emory celebrates start of new semester with ‘First Snow’ and ‘Frosty Wonderland’

As the first day of classes wrapped up on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 14, Emory students on the Atlanta campuses bundled up and braved the freezing cold for a magical annual event: “First Snow.”

Hosted by Dooley After Dark and Emory Student Involvement, Leadership, and Transitions (SILT) in Campus Life, it was a winter wonderland featuring ice skating, sliding, freshly made snow, fire pits to help students stay toasty — and plenty of smiles.

The following evening, students on the Atlanta campus once again gathered for fun winter activities during "Frosty Wonderland," hosted by Emory Student Programming Council. From building DIY snowmen to sipping hot chocolate, enjoying s'mores and snagging fun giveaways, it was an evening filled with fun.
