Office of Global Strategy and Initiatives to host Emory Passport Day

Atlanta Global Partnerships (AGP) — a program through Emory’s Office of Global Strategy and Initiatives — will host Emory Passport Day on Thursday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Goizueta Business School, Room 500.

AGP aims to provide a convenient way for Emory faculty, staff and students to obtain or renew U.S. passports ahead of the summer travel season. With the support of Georgia State University Passport Services and the Atlanta Passport Agency, AGP seeks to offer a one-stop shop for passport-related services. The turnaround time for passport processing is estimated to be two to three weeks.

During Emory Passport Day, members of the Emory community will have access to an on-campus appointment with a passport professional who will review applications, accept payments and submit applications for processing. Additionally, on-site passport photo services will be available at a discounted rate. The associated U.S. passport fees must be paid via check or money order at the time of the scheduled appointment.

Emory faculty, staff and students can register online for an Emory Passport Day appointment.

Applicants need to bring several items to their appointment:

Students registered for the Emory Free Passport Initiative (also held on April 20) are eligible to receive financial assistance, which covers U.S. passport application and photo fees for a limited number of qualifying applicants. Donate to the Global Student Travel Support fund to sponsor a student’s passport.

Visit the U.S. Department of State website or call (877) 487-2778 for more information about passport requirements.
