Returning as a hybrid event July 7-23, the virtual and in-person Atlanta Children’s Film Festival introduces youth to film and television careers through workshops in acting, filmmaking and more.

The Atlanta Children’s Film Festival returns July 7-23 for two weeks of film screenings and workshops for children, teens and producers. A perfect summer activity that will be entertaining and engaging for the whole family, the festival — celebrating its 15th year —  showcases positive, educational and entertaining films for children.

Organized by the nonprofit educational media arts organization Kids Video Connection (KVC), the Atlanta Children’s Film Festival aims to introduce youth to careers in film and television. After two years of a fully virtual format, this year will be a hybrid festival under the theme “One Big Family: Creating Together.”

In addition to various in-person events, 60 films made by and for young people from around the world will be screened virtually July 18-24.

Emory University will host Film Festival Family Day on Saturday, July 23, with film showcases and several hands-on workshops. Registration is required and prices vary depending on the event(s) selected.
