Northlake COVID-19 testing location closing Feb. 26

Due to improving conditions and the recent decline in COVID-19 cases, Emory Healthcare’s COVID-19 testing location at Northlake Mall will close Feb. 26.

Faculty, staff and students who are experiencing symptoms are encouraged to schedule a COVID-19 test at an off-campus location and should refer to the Georgia Department of Public Health for nearest COVID-19 testing locations.

Emory University also participates in an NIH-funded research program called the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) program. This program is charged with expanding access to COVID-19 tests that are fast and accurate. RADx participants receive a free PCR test and a gift card for their time. Participants must be symptomatic, and should schedule their appointments in advance.

All Emory University students, faculty and staff are required to be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 for spring 2022. Any student, faculty or staff member who is not fully vaccinated or boosted due to an approved exemption is required to conduct a weekly screening test to remain compliant.

Every U.S. home is eligible to order four, free at-home COVID-19 tests through COVIDtests.gov. Additionally, Emory continues to provide COVID-19 screening testing for asymptomatic community members. As many prepare for Spring Break travel, the State Department, Student Health’s travel page and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offer guidance on testing requirements for travel.
