Dooley’s Week, Emory’s annual celebration of school spirit, took over campus April 9-14 with full slate of festival-themed “Dooleypalooza” activities.
Dooley, the university’s unofficial skeletal mascot, and her entourage were spotted all around campus, joining in student events and posing for photos. Claire E. Dooley — the silent skeleton takes on the first name and middle initial of Emory's current president — also dropped in to continue the tradition of dismissing classes for some lucky students.
This year also marked the return of Dooley Cat, a creation of Atlanta artist Catlanta. Emory students had the chance all week to capture one of Catlanta's highly sought-after creations right here on campus.
The week featured daily themed activities, including Monday’s kick off; Tuesday’s Taste of Emory; Wild West Wednesday, complete with a petting zoo; Throwback Thursday, featuring retro tie-dye; and Friday’s International Festival and World Cup, along with “Dooley’s Fete: The Glow Party.”
Dooley’s Week culminated Saturday with Dooley’s Ball, featuring opening act Desiigner and headliner Lil Yachty.
