Family Weekend gives glimpse of Oxford life
Touring Oxford's organic farm is one of the highlights of Family Weekend.

Tour the Oxford organic farm, experience a performance of a Pulitzer-winning play, or run a 5K during Family Weekend 2017, Oct. 20-22.

Two and a half days filled with Family Weekend activities lets relatives see firsthand the life of an Oxford College student. The weekend tradition allows Oxford families to experience everything from eating like an Emory Eagle in the dining hall, cheering on athletics teams, and meeting professors.

Organizers plan engaging events where families can meet the friends, faculty, staff, and alumni who engage in campus life with their students.

"Family Weekend is a mid-semester celebration and an opportunity for families to experience Oxford through their student's eyes," says Veronica Roman, associate director of student involvement and leadership. "Through services and programs, the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership provides opportunities for families to engage in the Oxford community, as well as assistance in accessing various campus resources," adds Roman, who oversees the weekend.
