Emory issues 'All-Clear' after Sept. 20 police emergency

The Emory University Police Department received a call at 4:13 p.m. today from the Atlanta VA Medical Center Police that an individual they had attempted to arrest on a probation violation had fled onto Emory’s Clairmont Campus near the Lullwater Preserve. The Emory Police and DeKalb Police Departments responded, along with a canine unit, however the individual was not located. An All-Clear was issued by Emory University at 5:40 p.m., and the Emory, DeKalb and VA Medical Center police departments continue to monitor the area. Emory University has returned to normal operations.
