- On May 13, the Michael C. Carlos Museum hosts Artful Stories: The Little Hippo. Geared for children ages 3-5, the event takes place from 10-11 a.m. in the Egyptian Galleries.
- Atlanta Master Chorale: Ein Deutsches Requiem: Brahms closes out the month on a high note with concerts at 8 p.m. May 20 and 4 p.m. May 21 in the Emerson Concert Hall. Brahms’ Requiem is celebrated the world over for its power and beauty, transcending an ordinary mass. Set in German and incorporating texts from the Lutheran Bible, this piece is like no other in the chorale literature. Tickets are $30 for general admission; $25 for discount categories including Emory faculty and staff; and $10 for students.
