Internationally acclaimed author Patrick Chamoiseau will hold a roundtable discussion on March 16 at 5 p.m. in White Hall, room 207.
The Caribbean Discourses event will undoubtedly include the creole experience the Martinique native captured in his 1992 book, “Texaco,” which won the prestigious Prix Goncourt. Chamoiseau, who was honored with the 1998 Prince Claus Award for his contribution to Caribbean society, is also the author of more than a dozen other novels and comics, five films and a play.
The free roundtable is sponsored by the Ecrivains d’Aujourd'hui and Emory’s Department of French and Italian.
