The 2016 U.S. Olympic Swimming Team took to the pool at Emory's Student Activity and Academic Center on Friday, July 29, as young fans waving American flags watched from the facility's fence.
The Olympic swimmers are practicing in Atlanta to adjust to the heat and humidity before the 2016 Summer Games open Aug. 5 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. While Emory's practice was officially closed to the public, a few lucky spectators garnered autographs from Ryan Lochte as they wished him and the team good luck in Rio. The team held an open event at Georgia Tech on July 30, drawing thousands of well-wishers.
