The Michael C. Carlos Museum hosted its 25th anniversary Veneralia celebration on Feb. 20. With the theme "Silver Moon Over the Himalayas," the event helped provide funds for the upcoming exhibit "Doorway to an Enlightened World: The Tibetan Shrine from the Alice C. Kandell Collection," which opens March 19.

Cancer medication helps reduce SIV reservoir, increases hope for HIV cure

Emory University researchers have provided the first proof-of-concept in a nonhuman primate model for eliminating HIV-infected cells with venetoclax, a clinically approved medication for cancer. Two clinical trials are underway to test venetoclax in people living with HIV.
