Due to widespread public interest, the moral leadership lecture featuring Attallah Shabazz, ambassador-at-large for Belize and daughter of civil rights leader Malcolm X, has been moved to a larger venue.
“Malcolm X 50 Years Later: The Legacy of Moral Leadership” will be held Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church on the Emory University campus, at 1660 North Decatur Road. The lecture was originally scheduled to take place at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. Free parking will be available in the Fishburne, Oxford and Peavine parking lots on campus. The lecture is free but registration is required. Register here.
The lecture is sponsored jointly by the James T. and Berta R. Laney Legacy in Moral Leadership at Emory’s Candler School of Theology and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.
