Ramanujan, math and movie stars

"The Man Who Knew Infinity" is a new movie about the life of Srinivasa Ramanujan, an obscure, self-taught mathematician from India who was mentored by G.H. Hardy at Cambridge University during the height of British colonialism. Their collaboration changed math and science forever, says Emory University mathematician Ken Ono. In this video, Ono talks about his role as the math consultant for the movie, and how his life and work are inspired by Ramanujan.
