Learn vital tips about life insurance

Life insurance should be a cornerstone in financial planning. Learn why at "Life Insurance and You" on Monday, May 18, at noon in Room 12 of the School of Medicine building.

This workshop is the next installment in the continuing Getting Fiscally Fit series from Emory WorkLife Resource Center. It is the last for this academic year.

Facilitator Mark Stevens will explain what insurance you need, how much insurance you should have and how to pick the right life insurance plan for you. He will also show participants how to use insurance as a buffer against a devastating financial event.

"Come out to our last workshop of the semester and learn more about the different types of insurances available for different aspects of your life," says Aaronnette Jackson, WorkLife associate. "You will also learn some valuable tips and resources to help you decide which insurances are best fit for your current and future situations."

Jackson notes that for the last four years, Stevens, the facilitator, "has been providing our employees with valuable tips and resources to help manage and reach their financial goals." Another vital point to be discussed will be who should have long-term care insurance.

All WorkLife workshops are free and open to all employees of Emory University and Emory Healthcare. Provided the events are not filled, family members and friends with an interest in the topic are welcome to join employees at the workshops.
