Each semester, the Center for Faculty Development and Excellence (CFDE) offers the Classroom Mini Grants program to support faculty teaching. The deadline for Spring 2015 grant proposals is Nov. 14.
Anyone currently teaching at Emory (graduate students, adjunct faculty, visiting faculty, lecturers, or tenure track faculty) is eligible to apply for up to $300 to be used for an activity directly related to a class to be taught during the Spring 2015 semester.
Preference will be given to teachers who have not received past grants and for new course offerings. Each faculty member may submit only one application per semester.
The fund can support honoraria for non-Emory guest presenters; food and travel expenses for off campus class visits; and/or classroom materials that may not be covered by regular departmental forms. This fund does not support the purchase of technological hardware such as computers, iPads, etc.
Applicants must either have their own Smartkey account or be connected to a department with a Smartkey account, and must participate in assessment of the program (may include online evaluations or focus groups).
To apply, please send a paragraph that describes your need, including course number, name, and semester the course is offered to cfde@emory.edu by Friday, Nov. 14. Please also include your name, department, rank, email address and phone number.
Funds will not be transferred until the beginning of the new semester. More information is available at CFDE website.
