Get digital knowledge, digital know-how with talk and workshops

Learn how computer science relates to the humanities and get hands-on training in programs related to digital identity, digital learning and digital pedagogy.

On March 26 at noon, Ted Underwood, associate professor of English at the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana will give a talk, "The Shared Questions about Interpretation that Link Computer Science to the Humanities," in the Jones Room of the Woodruff Library.

Underwood is "exceptionally" articulate in explaining his work and work in digital humanities, says Brian Croxall, digital humanities strategist.

Underwood's talk is part of part of QuanTM's Quantitative Humanities series, which is supported by the Emory Center for Digital Scholarship (ECDS).

Beginning March 17 through May 1, ECDS is also offering several workshops and trainings on digital topics such as building online exhibits, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), finding maps and geospatial data, creating instructional videos, using the blogging platform WordPress and more.
