Emory Healthcare opened two new clinics and added four new physicians in order to better serve patients near Johns Creek and Duluth. The new clinics, both known as the Emory Orthopaedics, Sports & Spine, offer a full range of treatment for orthopaedic conditions and injuries including sports medicine, hand and upper extremities, foot and ankle, joint replacement, shoulder, knee and hip, spinal care, and concussions.
In an effort to meet the increasing demand for orthopaedic care, Emory Orthopaedics acquired Sports Medicine of Gwinnett in Duluth, a private practice led by T. Scott Maughon, MD, and Mathew Pombo, MD. Both physicians have long-standing relationships within the community. The new Johns Creek clinic is led by physicians Kyle Hammond, MD and Oluseun Olufade, MD and located in the Emory Johns Creek Physicians Plaza, connected to the hospital. All four physicians bring extensive training and experience to the new clinics.
