Emory English professor Mark Bauerlein is perhaps best known in the public sphere for making bold arguments against the widespread, constant use of social networking technology like Facebook and Twitter. While he wants to argue his point, he also wants to further the debate about the pros and cons of the digital revolution. Now, he's highlighting those in "The Digital Divide: Arguments for and Against Facebook, Google, Texting, and the Age of Social Networking" (Tarcher/Penguin, 2011).  The book features reprinted essays and articles by experts on digital technology made on both sides of the debate.
