The nomination deadline for the Humanitarian Awards has been extended to Monday, Feb. 27 by 5 p.m.
The awards recognize students for leadership abilities and accomplishments and are one of the more prestigious annual honors from Campus Life, according to Natasha Hopkins, assistant director of the Office of Student Leadership and Service.
"The Humanitarian Awards provide an opportunity to recognize students who embody the qualities of an effective leader. These qualities include but are not limited to: honesty, integrity, courage and responsibility," says Hopkins. "Faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate students who have noteworthy accomplishments worthy of being considered an Emory University humanitarian."
The five students selected as Humanitarian Award winners will be recognized at the Office of Student Leadership and Service Awards reception on Wednesday, April 11 at 5 p.m. in Cox Ballroom. Following the reception, they will have a private dinner with President Jim Wagner and John Ford, senior vice president and dean of Campus Life.
