The Miller-Ward Alumni House is opening its doors for a spring open house on Thursday, Feb. 2, from 4:30–7 p.m.
The 7,600-square-foot facility on Houston Mill Road, which opened in the fall of 2000, became available in the past year for the Emory community to rent for special events.
"We are thrilled to have our Emory family come home to the alumni house, especially those that haven't visited us before," says Missy Rodil, director of event and facility management at the Miller-Ward Alumni House and Emory Alumni Association. "This is a great time to meet our vendors including our caterers and wine distributors. You can even get great ideas from seasoned staff and talented vendors."
Visitors will have an opportunity to sample wine and food from vendors, including Nicoles Events and Carole Parks Catering.
Activities at the open house will include a photo booth and marshmallow-roasting over the fire pits on the patio.
