Emory ranked as one of America's Best Employers for Women

Emory University has been recognized as one of “America’s Best Employers for Women,” according to a new ranking by Forbes magazine.

Emory was 41st among 300 American companies, schools and organizations included in the magazine’s second annual ranking, and fourth among Georgia-based companies.

Forbes partnered with data provider Statista to compile the list by conducting anonymous surveys of 60,000 Americans, including 40,000 women, working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. Respondents rated their organizations on factors such as working conditions, diversity and how likely they are to recommend their employer to others.

Female respondents were asked to rate their employers on parental leave, discrimination and pay equity. Respondents also were asked to nominate organizations in industries outside their own. Forbes ranked the 300 employers that received the most recommendations and that have the most gender diverse boards and executive ranks.

Earlier this year, Emory was named by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers (#87), one of the Best Employers for Diversity (Emory University #31, Emory Healthcare #109); and among the Best Employers in Georgia (Emory #2, Emory Healthcare #8).
