RSVP by Friday for Sept. 17 campus event with Atlanta Fed president

Raphael Bostic, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, will answer students’ questions at a public event on Monday, Sept. 17, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 208 of White Hall. Seating starts at 6 p.m.

The questions, raised by students, will be posed to Bostic by a panel of macroeconomists from Emory’s Department of Economics, which is sponsoring the event.

Bostic will talk about the economy and the role of the Federal Reserve in managing it. He is currently serving on the Federal Open Market Committee that sets U.S. monetary policy, making key decisions about interest rates and the growth of the United States money supply.

Those who would like to attend should RSVP to Elizabeth Eichinger by noon Friday, Sept. 14.
