Emory Nursing joins network of National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence institutions

The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is named a partner school in the National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence (NHCGNE) network for its commitment to the field of gerontological nursing.

The National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence is an international collaboration of Schools of Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing supporting transformative research, education, leadership, and clinical practice to provide better nursing care for older adults. Collectively, the National Hartford Center and its member schools have more than 500 years of experience in the nursing care of older adults.

As a partner, the School of Nursing will collaborate with fellow leaders in the aging and gerontological nursing field and work together to enhance and sustain the capacity and competency of nurses to provide quality care to older adults through faculty development, gerontological nursing science, leadership development, and health policy.
