Emory Eye Center, Georgia’s largest eye care facility, opened a new office at Emory Johns Creek Hospital on April 4. The clinic is located at 6335 Hospital Parkway in Suite 311 of Physicians Plaza at Emory Johns Creek Hospital.

"We’re thrilled to add more exam rooms to our clinic and offer longer hours to better meet the needs of the community of Johns Creek," says Allen D. Beck, MD, interim chair and director, Emory Eye Center.

Petra Jo, OD, provides comprehensive eye care to patients, by conducting eye exams, contact lens exams and prescribing glasses.

"Eye exams are an important part of one’s overall health maintenance," says Beck. "Comprehensive eye exams are critical because they can help determine vision threatening eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts. Early detection can help save eyesight."

The clinic also offers diagnostic tests such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) for patients who need more specialized scans. An OCT shows an image of the tissue layers within the retina.

Dr. Jo joined the Emory Eye Center team in 2014.
"I enjoy helping others and solving problems to meet their visual needs," say Jo. "I like getting to know my patients and hope to grow my practice in the Johns Creek area."

Emory Eye Center at Johns Creek is open weekdays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 404-778-2020.
