Traffic alert: Portions of Clifton Road to be closed Feb. 17-19

Work continues on the new Emory University Hospital bed tower project. This weekend, the remaining tower crane will be removed from the construction site resulting in traffic disruption on Clifton Road.
Starting the evening of Friday, Feb. 17, at approximately 8 p.m. and continuing over the weekend through Sunday, Feb. 19, Clifton Road will be closed between Gambrell Drive and Uppergate Drive.
- Vehicles will be rerouted via detour signs to avoid the work zone, and police officers will be directing traffic.
- Pedestrian access will be open only on the west side (Emory University Hospital side) of Clifton Road.
- Bus service will continue on Clifton Road, but will be diverted around the work zone; stop and route changes are at http://emory.transloc.com/.
- Emergency access to the ER of both Emory Healthcare and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will remain open.
