Healthy Winship Series focuses on breast cancer awareness

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital are hosting the Healthy Winship Series on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Emory Saint Joseph's. The lunch discussion will feature presenters Steve Szabo, MD, Shannon Kahn, MD, Keerthi Gogineni, MD and Michelle Ross, MD.

Szabo is the director of community oncology at Emory Saint Joseph's, and he will be speaking on the topic “Chemo Prevention for Breast Cancers.” Gogineni sees patients with breast malignancies and also collaborates with other Winship members in clinical trials and health policy research. Her topic of discussion is “DCIS: How much is too much?”

Other featured speakers include Kahn, a radiation oncologist at Emory Saint Joseph's, and Ross, a diagnostic radiologist and medical director of the Ed and Dora Voyles Breast Health Center, also at Emory Saint Joseph's.
