Emory releases annual reports on security, fire safety

Emory has released its 2015 Annual Security Report, Annual Fire Safety Report and Statement of Campus Security, which contains important crime statistics from 2012-2014 for all of Emory's campuses.

In addition to Emory's crime statistics, the documents include information pertaining to security policies, sexual misconduct policies, alcohol/drug and other policies, fire statistics, fire safety, and a comprehensive description of resources available to assist the campus community.

The report is available online, and was distributed Oct. 1 to the entire Emory community via an emailed letter from Lynell Cadray, associate vice provost and university Title IX coordinator for Emory.

The letter also sought to remind the campus community of resources for support and reporting available to those who have experienced sexual violence, sexual misconduct or sexual harassment, as outlined in the What to Know section of the University's Sexual Misconduct Resources website.

"Sexual violence, sexual misconduct, and sexual harassment at Emory impact the entire community and can undermine the core values we set so highly for ourselves," Cadray wrote  She also reminded faculty and staff who have been notified of their mandatory Title IX training requirement that the online module must be completed by Oct. 13.

"Each one of us plays a role in creating a safe and inclusive Emory," Cadray wrote.
