New ALS Bucket Challenge is "Every August Until A Cure"

Aug. 24, 2015

As one of the largest clinical centers for ALS in the United States, the Emory ALS Center receives important local funding from organizations like the ALS Association's Georgia Chapter. This year, the center is joining their effort to promote the ALS "Every August Until A Cure" campaign, which strives during the month of August to escalate awareness and fundraising for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) through initiatives like the famous Ice Bucket Challenge. They kicked off their challenge Friday, August 21, in front of the Emory University School of Medicine, with buckets of ice water and challenges issued to groups across campus. The hashtags for the fundraising challenge are #EveryAugustUntilACure and #ALSIceBucketChallenge.
