The focus will be on getting fit this Saturday, May 16, at the Emory Johns Creek Hospital 5K Scrub Run and Community Health Festival. The run will start at 8 a.m., followed by a 100-yard dash (ages 10 and under) at 9 a.m.
Free cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure and bone density screenings will be offered at the hospital’s health festival, beginning at 8 a.m., along with BMI (Body Mass Index) calculations, plus more. Physicians will be on hand to meet and greet community members, and little ones will be entertained in the Kidz Zone.
"We are excited about our upcoming 5K Scrub Run and Health Festival, which is open to the entire Johns Creek community and beyond," says Marilyn Margolis, CEO of Emory Johns Creek Hospital. "It’s a great way to stay fit while also helping out our neighbors."
