Emory Healthcare among 2015 Top Workplaces in Atlanta

Emory Healthcare has been named one of the Top 25 Large Workplaces in the region for 2015.

The ranking is part of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s 2015 Top Workplaces. For the annual listings, the newspaper honors the top 75 small workplaces (149 or fewer employees), medium workplaces (150-499 employees) and large workplaces (over 500 employees).

Selection is based solely on employee feedback in an effort to make the list an authentic representation of the work environments of the organizations included. For participating employers, the evaluations required a survey response rate of at least 35 percent of employees in the Atlanta area. Almost 50,000 workers around the city were asked to respond, according to the AJC.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution notes a common theme among companies that "have earned the loyalty and affection of their employees" and a place on the Top Workplaces list: "They have invested as much in their employees’ well-being as they have in tangible perks," the newspaper noted. "The reward for the company can be measured in satisfied customers and on the bottom line."

Emory Healthcare is the largest, most comprehensive health system in Georgia. With more than 15,500 employees working at six hospitals and multiple clinics, the health system is known for its strong dedication to patient care and employees who demonstrate their commitment to their patients every day.

According to Emory Healthcare, "employers and leaders alike play a role in creating a positive work environment and making a difference in the world. This is particularly apparent when considering the system’s recent successes — the daily care of complex patients, UHC quality rankings for quality improvements, Magnet® designations for nursing excellence and global recognition for the care provided to patients with Ebola virus disease."
